Learning areas

English
Students learn about the English language through written, spoken and visual texts of increasing complexity as they progress through their schooling.
Mathematics
Mathematics is a reasoning and creative activity employing abstraction and generalisation to identify, describe and apply patterns and relationships. Students learn to apply their mathematical knowledge, skills and understanding in a broad range of contexts beyond the mathematics classroom.
Science
Students learn about the natural and made worlds and how to apply scientific skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of contexts.
Technological and Applied Studies (TAS)
Students use a range of tools, materials and techniques in the design process and technological experiences through theory and practical lessons.
HSIE
Students explore varied subjects in human society and its environment to learn about history, geography, people, societies and culture.
Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA)
Creative and Performing Arts faculties contain the subjects Music, Visual Art, Drama, Dance, Photography & Digital Media and Visual Design. It is a thriving group of subjects providing mandatory courses in Years 7 and 8, elective courses in Years 9 and above and extra-curricular programs across all
PDHPE
Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) focuses on encouraging students to think critically, solve problems and make informed decisions related to health, safety, wellbeing and physical activity.
Languages
Language study provides students the opportunity to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems & explore the relationship between language & culture. Students engage with the linguistic & cultural diversity of societies reflecting on their understanding of social interaction.
LEAP
LEAP enables students to focus on individual interests & passion in their learning. Class size is limited to 15 students. The projects designed by students with the support of their LEAP Academy teachers connect knowledge from the various subject areas in a meaningful way to enhance motivation.
STEM
Through STEM, children engage creatively in real world problems, applying their understanding of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in integrated and innovative ways
