This award scheme aims to recognise and reward students who consistently display excellent attitude and application in the classroom. Students that participate enthusiastically in extra curricular activities and who contribute to the building of a positive image of Westport Campus, both within the campus itself and among the general community are also rewarded. The scheme also aims to provide an incentive for all students to build on even the smallest success and to foster a culture that focuses on positive behaviour.

BRONZE AWARD - Awarded after receiving at least 20 Positives

SILVER AWARD - Awarded after receiving at least 30 Positives

Acknowledgments - Award presented at assembly by Year Advisor.

Reward - $5.00 Canteen Voucher


GOLD AWARD - Awarded after receiving at least 60 Positives

Acknowledgements - Award presented at Formal Assembly by Deputy Principal. Recognition on the school Facebook page

Rewards - Extended lunch


PLATINUM AWARD - This is a highly sought after award presented to an elite group of students at the end of Term 4.

The Platinum Award is reached by achieving at least 100 Positives, having regular attendance and consistently wearing school uniform. Students must also follow the Student Responsibility System and reflect the school values of being Safe, Cooperative and Respectful.

Rewards - Morning Tea, Excursion and/or special prize – details to be given throughout the year.

Student of the Term Award

Throughout Terms 1 – 3 students who receive an award as part of the Merit Scheme will be nominated to be selected as the Student of the Term. Staff will vote for the winner from each year group. 

Acknowledgement - Picture on school display board. Award presented by Principal at a Formal Assembly. Feature in school newsletter. Recognition on the College Facebook page

Student  of the Year Award

This is awarded in Term 4 to the student who collected the most Positives in each year group throughout the year.

Award presented by Executive Principal at Presentation day. Feature in school newsletter. Recognition on the College Facebook page

Reward - Special prize presented at Presentation day

*Please note - to qualify for the awards the Year Advisor and Deputy Principal will take into consideration the number of negative incidents the student may have been involved in throughout the year.

Uniform Merit Awards

Roll call teachers regularly recognise students who wear correct uniform. Students are given a voucher to be placed in a draw at Assembly. Students win $5.00 voucher for the Canteen (supported by the P & C).

Each semester major draws are held for Uniform Merits. These draws have special prizes to be won.
