Dear Students and Parents
Thank you for your ongoing support during this unprecedented and challenging time.
As you would be aware Year 12 Mathematics Standard was due to have an in-class assessment task on Friday 3 April during their Mathematics lesson.
Due to the current restrictions on gatherings, we have decided to run this task externally on Monday 6 April, and we ask that you or another adult supervise your son/daughter to maintain examination conditions.
How this would work :
- We will email the task along with a student and supervisor declaration to an email provided to us by you at 12 pm (noon) on Monday 6 April.
- You would be required to print the task and declaration and supervise the student for a 60-minute time slot before 12 pm (noon) on Tuesday 7 April
- At the completion of the task, we ask that you scan and email the task, learning log, supervisor and student declarations to your son/daughter Mathematics teacher.
If you don’t have provision to print the task, please let me know via email or contacting the school and we can make the test available for collection by the supervisor from the front office anytime from 12 pm (noon) on Monday.
There are many free Apps which can be downloaded on your phone including Camscanner and Genius Scan that are available for scanning documents to PDF which then can be emailed.
If this can not be managed, we ask that you return all materials, in a sealed envelope, as stated above to the office by 12 pm (noon) on Tuesday. More detailed instructions for the completion and return of the task will be included with the task when emailed.
Unfortunately, this situation is not ideal and there is scope for students to be dishonest or share task content with others but we would ask that everyone act with honesty and integrity.
If you have any concerns or further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
