Principal Message

Term 4 is almost halfway through. Students and staff are in the process of finalising course requirements and revising for end of year assessments and exams. I said to students earlier this term that this was an ideal opportunity to develop a plan for success for 2019.

Jennifer Cooper and Brayden Clarke, our 2019 School Captains, represented the campus yesterday at the Port Macquarie Remembrance Day Ceremony. They laid a wreath on behalf of the Westport Campus. It was also great to see so many of our Hastings Valley Community of Schools students representing their various primary schools.

We have a number of practicum students in the school at present. They are looking to further develop their skills in teaching and are actively seeking advice and direction from the quality teachers at Hastings Secondary College.

Year 12 has their Formal tomorrow night. Kate Henderson and her team have been working tirelessly in the planning and the organisation of the event. This event is always a great celebration of finishing school. It is being held at Sails.

A number of important events are coming up over the next three weeks. The regional Aboriginal Awards of Excellence are at the Westport Campus on Wednesday14 November at 10.00 am.  Year 6 to Year 7 Orientation Day is on Tuesday 4 December 2018. The Westport Campus Presentation Day is on Friday 14 December 2018 at 9.30 am. Please come along, if you are able, to help us celebrate great student achievements in 2018.
