On Friday of Week 5 a team from the University of Sydney visited Port Macquarie Campus to engage in workshops with some of our aspiring Year 11 students. The visit was part of their Regional Roadshow. The roadshow involved workshops with the students focusing on:
- developing their understanding of the value of extracurricular involvement and identifying their own leadership skills, personal qualities and attributes.
- encouraging enhanced self- awareness of identity, strengths, interests and motivations as well as starting to articulate how the intersection of these might help inspire, guide and inform future decision making.
The Year 11 students found the workshops useful, informative and fun. The school has also developed a partnership with the University of Sydney which will enhance opportunities for the students from our school.
