On Wednesday 6 March three students from Port Macquarie Campus were invited as guests to the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie’s Youth Science Night.

The students were Jaren Clarke, Ruairidh Granger and Riley Pritchard.

Jaren and Ru gave a presentation sharing their experiences when attending the Honeywell Engineering Summer School in Sydney. The boys reported back about their week visiting Sydney’s universities and site visits such as RAAF Base at Richmond, Bluescope Steel and Thales.

Riley reported to the Rotary members about his 12 days in Canberra in January at the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF). Riley spoke about his visits to institutions around Canberra and engaging with other science students from around the nation.

All three students spoke highly of the fantastic programs that they had the opportunity to experience with the support of the Port Macquarie Rotary Club. These three Year 12 students were very impressive and excellent ambassadors for Hastings Secondary College.

Port Macquarie Campus would sincerely like to thank the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie for their high level of ongoing support to the school. The Rotary Club has provided a lot of financial and intellectual opportunities to our students which we are grateful for. Particular thanks to the great work of the club’s Youth Director – Gil Padarin-Innes.
