Leandro Urbina recently competed at the 'Grappling Industries Gi and No Gi Round Robin Tournament' at Sydney Olympic Park, representing Rogue MMA/Team Lead clubs. The competition is known worldwide and is held in high esteem in the martial arts community.
Leandro competed against other competitors not only heavier but older and more experienced. All rounds were very tough and the competitors very aggressive, wanting to win, some of them travelling from across the world.
Leandro brought home two silver medals one for the - Gi, Blue Advanced and the other for - No Gi Advanced.
He started his martial arts training at 5yrs old, training in Japanese Ju Jitsu, and gaining his junior black belt at 8 years old. He has been training in mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since he was 7 years old.
