Last Thursday the Open Girls Netball team travelled to Macksville to participate in rounds 1 and 2 of the State Knockout Competition.

In round one Port Macquarie campus came up against a very strong team in Macksville High School. The girls showed great grit and determination but unfortunately narrowly lost this game. The team then played against Westport Campus and Camden Haven High School in some friendly matches.

This day is also used to select the Lower North Coast Representative team. Congratulations go to Shelby Grainger of Year 12 who was successful in being selected. We wish you all the best for this next level of competition.

Thank you to Faith Elliot for travelling to Macksville and assisting with the umpiring in some wet and unpleasant conditions. Also, thank you to Tammy Grainger and Jacqui Beasley for their assistance with transporting the girls to Macksville and for cheering on the girls.
