Last Friday 17 May 2019, a select number of Year 8 students ventured across the great divide to attend the 2019 University of New England Mathematics Challenge, in Armidale. It was a very long day, departing School at 4.30am and not arriving back until 7.45pm.
Whilst at the challenge, the students were exposed to a wide variety of problem solving activities encompassing non-routine and real life problems. There were 64 teams in total and our students were keen to give the other schools a good run for their money.
All the students had a great time and totally enjoyed the experience.
