We are halfway through the school term and both students and staff are working in collaboration to get the best possible outcomes from all of our students. As I have mentioned before it is our responsibility, in partnership with the family, to grow your child into an active and productive member of society when they transition from the college, irrespective of what future pathway they are on.
This partnership with the family is a critical factor in supporting student growth. Can I please encourage parents/carers to take an active interest in what is happening at school and what needs to be put in place to support the educational, social, emotional and cultural development of students at the Westport Campus.
Many students have been trialling for various sporting teams. All eager to represent the college in the NSW Combined High Schools events. A number of our swimmers competed this week in Murwillumbah at the North Coast trials with some fantastic results recorded. Details about these students to come.
Our campus library is currently undergoing a makeover. A huge thank you to Jen Aguilar and Michelle Garven for their assistance with the design concepts. We are also part way through a scheduled maintenance program which is seeing all of the red rails being repainted with a grey hammer finish and the hall having a paint upgrade as well.
Parent / Student / Teacher afternoon will be on Tuesday 19 March 2019. Bookings can be made via the Parent Portal. It will run from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. If you do not have access to the Parent Portal, please contact the campus on 6583 6400 for assistance.
