Principals Message 280220

It has been another amazing week for the students and staff at Westport Campus. On Monday, many students travelled up to Kempsey to compete in the Lower North Coast Swimming Carnival. The students showed great sportsmanship and gave it their best. A big congratulations to all those who have made it through to the next stage.

I am a strong believer that when students become involved in the many opportunities school has to offer, they become more successful in the classroom and develop positive friendships with others.  I am very grateful for the time our teachers give to running these activities as they often operate during their break time or after school. I would like to share with you just some of the different activities and groups students could have participated in this week – Game Changer Design Thinking Challenge, Junior Volleyball Competition, Peer Support, Tuition, Cattle Team, Breakfast Friendship Program, Homework Centre, Friday afternoon Games Club, Touch Football team, Robotics.

I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Branston Brewer-Charles who has just been appointed as Director of the Hasting Secondary College Clontarf Academy. Clontarf is a program that supports the education and engagement of our Aboriginal boys and we know Branston will continue the great work of this program.
