Important announcement regarding Year 11 Advanced Mathematics and Standard Mathematics Task that was to be held on Thursday 26 March 2020

The Port Macquarie Campus mathematics assessment tasks that were to be held today has been rescheduled to Monday 30 March at 9:30 am.

The campus preference is that students come to school and sit the task under the supervision of campus staff. The campus is committed to ensuring procedures of social distancing are enforced with no more than nine students and a staff member per classroom.

The task would be conducted between 9:30 am and 10:30 am on Monday 30 March. We ask that students report to the covered area in the lower quad at Port Macquarie Campus no later than 9:20 am. Students will be directed to their designated classroom.

If a student is unable to attend the campus for this task, the option is available for the task to be done at home. Students must be supervised by a responsible adult that is prepared to sign off that the task has been done under examination conditions.

In this situation, the task will be available for collection from the Front Office at Port Macquarie Campus from 8 am on Monday 30 March and must be returned to the Front Office no later than 2 pm Monday 30 March with the supervisor’s declaration attached.

If a student wishes to use this option, an email is required to be sent to Mrs Heather O’Brien, relieving Head Teacher of Mathematics, by 2 pm Friday 27 March at email: heather.obrien@det.nsw.edu.au.

If a student is unwell or unable to do the task for any other reason, under NESA regulations, they must complete an Illness or Misadventure form as they would for any other task.
