A group of invited Year 9 students from Hastings Secondary College Port Macquarie Campus took part in the Future Moves, Charles Sturt University - National Indigenous Science Education Program.

The aim of the program is to engage students in science activities and provide leadership opportunities for secondary students.

Charles Sturt University lecturers and students worked with our students to complete a variety of science experiments and activities to learn about the underlying scientific principles.

Our students then became the teachers and delivered the science experiments they had mastered to small groups of Year 6 students from Port Macquarie Primary School.

Our students can be proud of the way they stepped into the leadership roles of mentoring younger students and teaching and engaging year 6 students in Science.
