All my own work

As part of the Board of Studies efforts to ensure that the HSC remains the worthy and creditable qualification that it is, the Board has instituted a program that is compulsory for all Year 11 students called “HSC: All My Own Work”. The program consists of five modules and aims at educating students about appropriate referencing and the consequences of plagiarism.

The program will be facilitated by Westport Campus English staff and the modules will be completed in Year 10 English lessons. Students who do not complete the course during the allocated lessons in Weeks 7, 8 and 9 will need to complete the course in their own time, providing proof of completion to the Head Teacher, Ms Linda Best, before being signed off.

Instructions on how to access the course at home:

  • Go to
  • Complete each module (there are five) by reading the information and completing the quiz for each module (e.g. Module 3: Plagiarism has an introduction and 5 sections). You can navigate to the quiz for the module easily using the ‘breadcrumbs’ directly under the black bar marked “You are here.” Do not try to complete the quiz at the bottom of the page.
  • When you have completed each module quiz and achieved 80% or over, print out your score or make a screenshot.
  • Show Ms Best your completed modules to be signed off.

Please be aware that it is a Board of Studies decision that anyone not satisfying the requirements of the course will not be eligible for the HSC.
