The LEAP Class at Westport Campus has been collaborating on a class project about travel. Students have to plan a 6-night holiday to a destination ranked in the top 10 destinations in the Asia Pacific according to Lonely Planet.

Last week they were planning flights and investigating the four forces of flight. Mr Ed Godschalk came to share his experiences as a pilot on Thursday morning. He showed the class some awesome photos of his adventures in the sky as well as a detailed explanation of how he plans his flights and the necessary conditions.

The students were able to ask questions, view flight maps and confirm some of the scientific principles surrounding lift, thrust, gravity and drag.

We appreciated the time and effort Mr Godschalk put into the lesson, bringing the real-world into the classroom.
