The Year 7 boys enjoyed their first overnight camp away as Clontarf Academy members at the Induction Camp in Coffs Harbour on Thursday and Friday of last week. The engagement camp was a great opportunity for the boys to get to know the Clontarf staff, each other and other Clontarf Academy members from the Mid North Coast.
A readjustment of plans for an Oz-tag carnival was made due to the heavy rainfall and unsafe footy fields. The decision to change the competition to a regional basketball carnival was well received. The Port Macquarie Academy ended up with the strongest side in the region on the day, winning the final and bringing home the trophy. As with all Clontarf competitions, there was a strong focus on participation, inclusion, being a good-bloke and giving it their best effort.
