Like all students, our Clontarf boys have been impacted by COVID-19 and the restrictions it has placed on them. These restrictions we have been limited on the activities that we have been able to get stuck into this term.
The boys were grateful to be able to have a few days out as a reward for such a great term. During week 5 our top trainers, those who made the effort to get up at 5:30am to train on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Wednesday afternoons after school, were rewarded with a day out at the Centre of Gravity, splitting their time between indoor rock climbing and laser tag.
Our Senior boys, years 10 and 11, had an "engagement day" during week 6. The boys, along with Pat Preston went to Diamond Head where they were challenged with team bonding games and activities. During the day the boys discussed their future goals for schooling and their transition post school. The day out gave students a great opportunity to solidify their strong friendships, which plays a huge role in supporting them through their HSC.
