This week Hastings Secondary College Boys U14's cricket team played Camden Haven High School in Round 2 of the North Coast knockout competition at Vince Inman Field in Laurieton.

Electing to bat first, Hastings Secondary College scored 4/102 runs from their 20 overs. Cedar Barry (30) and Kobe Chalmers (14 n.o.) were the top performers with Asher Rootes (12) playing a nice cameo by hitting some nice shots to the boundary.

The College bowlers bowled a tight line and restricted the scoring of the Camden Haven Batsmen to 9/73.

Cedar Barry’s 3 wickets was the highlight. The boys now progress to the 3rd round.

Thank you to Clontarf for loaning us their bus at the last minute and Mr Reynolds for driving it and supporting the team.
