Year 9 Food Technology students worked hard for the presentation of their Food for Special Occasions Assessment.
For this assessment, students need to design, make and decorate a cake for a special occasion which is then recorded in their Assessment Portfolio. Teacher, Miss Speers commented, "This is one of the students favourite activities and having four classes this year has proved to be an exciting challenge".
The cakes are voted on by staff and students with the winners being presented with vouchers from local establishments for their outstanding efforts.
The "Panda" made by Emily Sharp took first place with a beautifully iced cake, decorated to depict a panda in bamboo. A stunning flower topped ombre coloured cake by Summer Coubrough took second and third place went to the "Pool Table" by Cameron PIckering.
Teachers, Miss Speers and Miss Hull are extremely proud of all Year 9 Food Technology students for their enthusiasm and dedication towards the course. Well done!
